Terms of service

Clutchbox is an early developer preview operated by Philip Zhan. Our browser extension syncs your sign-ins to the sites you choose, and each user gets a cloud computer that AI agents you connect can use, kept signed in to those sites. These terms cover our web app, the cloud computer, agent connections, and the extension. By using any of them, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

A developer preview

The service is new and changes often. Features may change, break, or be removed, and we may pause or end the preview. We offer no uptime or support commitments, and your cloud computer, its files, or its sign-ins may be lost. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to use Clutchbox. You sign in with Google, and each account has its own cloud computer. Keep your Google account secure: you are responsible for everything done with your account, including by the agents and browsers you connect.

Your sites and your agents

When you add sites in the extension, you ask us to upload your cookies for those sites, sign-in cookies included, and to sign your cloud computer in to them as you. Sync only accounts that are yours to use. You are responsible for following the terms of the sites you sync and visit, including any limits they place on automated access.

An agent you connect, such as Claude or ChatGPT, acts on your behalf. It can use your cloud computer as you could, including on the sites where you are signed in, and what it does is your responsibility. Agents can make mistakes or be misled by what they read, so connect only agents you trust and check their work. Agents and the sites you visit are provided by others under their own terms; we are not affiliated with them unless we say so.

Acceptable use

Don't use Clutchbox, or let an agent use it, to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • use accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to use;
  • send spam, phishing, or malware, or harass anyone;
  • attack, probe, or overload our service or anyone else's;
  • mine cryptocurrency, or host services for others to use;
  • get around the free allowance, rate limits, or other limits; or
  • reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.

Free allowance

The preview is free within a monthly allowance of computer minutes, shown on your account page. When it is used up, your cloud computer stays paused until the allowance resets. We may change the allowance and other limits. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before charging anything, and paying will be your choice.

Your content

Your files, uploads, and what is on your cloud computer remain yours. You let us store and process them only to run the service for you and the agents you connect, as the privacy policy describes. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

Suspension and ending

You can stop at any time. Delete everything on your account page deletes your cloud computer and uploads, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access, pause or delete your cloud computer, or disconnect agents if you break these terms, if your use puts the service, other users, or others at risk, or if we end the preview. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that sites will keep your cloud computer signed in. Sites may sign you out, limit, or block access from your cloud computer.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Clutchbox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or accounts, including losses caused by actions an agent takes on your behalf. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes and contact

We will update this page as the product changes and give notice of material changes, on our web app or by email, before they apply. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. For questions about these terms, use the support email displayed on the Google sign-in consent screen.
